NEW OBSERVATION WHEEL UP IN ATLANTIC CITY, COLD CLOSES IT DOWN

The giant new observation wheel on Steel Pier is open for business this week, but cold weather will likely suspend its operations.  Steel Pier officials announced that the wheel would be working between Christmas and New Year’s, but only if temperatures were at or above about 40 degrees.  The wheel cost $14 million and suspends passengers 227 feet into the air.
