NEW JERSEYS SENATORS VOTED NO ON DEBT AGREEMENT

New Jersey’s two United States senators both voted no on the debt deal agreed to in Washington on Tuesday.  Both democrats Frank Lautenberg and Robert Menendez voted no on the deal; there were two dozen other senators who also refused to back the plan.  Lautenberg issued a statement and called the legislation a “shakedown” and he blasted tea party republicans.  President Obama signed the deal into law.
