NEW JERSEY TRANSIT PLANNING FOR CHANGES IN SERVICE

300px-New_Jersey_Transit_logoA fare hike in effect, and service cuts on the way. New Jersey Transit is warning customers that delays are on the way. The transit service will be cutting over 30 trains, including at least two from each line; these changes will take place on May 23. Riders have already had to shell out 25 percent extra for their tickets, based on the May 1 increase. The Atlantic City Rail Line will end its 12:46 a.m. departure from Atlantic City and its 4:24 a.m. from Philadelphia during the week. On the weekends the 11:47 p.m. and 5:45 a.m. will no longer run. The 1:50 a.m. and 7:54 a.m. from Philadelphia have been cancelled.
