NEW JERSEY TO SAVE $100 MILLION COURTESY OF DEAL WITH BIG UNION

New Jersey is expected to save $100 million thanks to a new deal with a major union.  The state says it will avoid mass layoffs of state employees by instead putting in place furloughs, and holding off on a pay increase.  Employees will not be laid off at any time through the end of next year.
