NEW JERSEY SAYS SO LONG TO A NUCLEAR POWER PLANT

New Jersey has bid farewell to the Oyster Creek Nuclear Power Plant.  The plant was shut down for good on Monday and will not be placed back into service.  Oyster Creek was the first licensed nuclear power plant in the nation; now, there are fewer than 100 in existence.
