NEW JERSEY RESIDENTS RACK UP BIG STUDENT LOAN DEBT

$30 billion. That is how much is owed in student loan debt by New Jersey residents to the federal government. The U.S. Department of Education ranks New Jersey’s public four year colleges are the most expensive in the country. The $30 billion amount is spread across 1.2 million borrowers. Democrats like U.S. Senator Cory Booker have been pushing for better college affordability.
