NEW JERSEY GETS DOWNGRADED AGAIN WITH BUDGET SHORTFALL

Another credit agency had downgraded New Jersey. The state went from AA- to A+, according to Fitch, who downgraded the state following the news of a $800 million shortfall. Typically the biggest impact with these type of changes is the state will pay more when it goes to borrow money for transportation and other projects. Standard and Poor’s also recently downgraded the state’s credit rating.
