NEW JERSEY APPLIES FOR FEDERAL SCHOOL FUNDS

oc high schoolNew Jersey has applied for $268 million in federal aid for teachers salaries and benefits. The deadline for states to apply was Thursday. State officials confirmed that they applied for the funding on Wednesday. A number of states applied in the final days before the deadline. The state funding formula will be used to distribute the money, but the breakdown has not yet been released. The money must be used to help hire and keep teachers on payroll.
