New Jersey Governor Chris Christie signed a law just before the weekend that will require younger skiers and snowboarders to wear protective helmets. The new law will go into effect later this year on November 1st, and will require helmets for those participating in these winter sports ages 17 and under. Any violations could result in a $25 fine for the first offense, and $100 fine for any subsequent offenses.
