NEW BILL WOULD GIVE YOU A BREAK DURING BAD WEATHER TRAVEL

If a new bill becomes law in New Jersey, employers will not be able to punish their workers who are unable to make it to work due to harsh weather conditions that force the declaration of a state of emergency.  A new bill was introduced by Senator Peter Barnes III that would protect state workers who cannot make it into work during bad weather.  The new bill would prevent employers from requiring employees to use sick or vacation time if they can’t make it in.
