NEW BENCHES INSTALLED AT CREST PIER

Crest Pier benches

The Borough of Wildwood Crest has installed five new benches on the Beach Pier at Heather Road for the public’s enjoyment. The benches, which were assembled and put in place by the borough’s Department of Public Works, are located on the deck of the pier closest to the ocean. Formerly the Wildwood Crest Fishing Pier, the structure was built in 1919 and owned and operated by the Wildwood Crest Fishing Club for more than 85 years. The pier was eventually turned over to the borough in 2006 and was refurbished in 2008 partly through a grant from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs.
