NEAR THE BOTTOM: COUNTY RANKED 15TH ON HEALTHY LIST

Cape May County ranks as the 15th healthiest county in the state of New Jersey, while Cumberland County is dead last.  The Star Ledger reports today that according to the latest Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s annual health checkup, Hunterdon County is the healthiest county in the state.  Cumberland County ranks last due to unemployment, obesity, and a high rate of smoking.  All counties in the southern most section of the state–Cape May, Atlantic, Cumberland, and Salem–all all ranked 15th, or worst.
