NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE: DAMAGING WINDS COMING, MODERATE FLOODING SATURDAY

The National Weather Service continues to call for the potential for damaging winds later on Friday, with moderate coastal flooding at time of high tide on Saturday.  There are scattered power outages throughout southern New Jersey during this coastal storm; Atlantic City Electric reports extra crews are on duty.  A few hundred customers were without power late morning in Upper Township.  Some minor coastal flooding was reported in very flood prone sections of barrier islands today.  Wind gusts are expected to approach 61mph in our region late this afternoon, and this evening.
