NATIONAL GUARD SOLIDER STRUCK IN HIT AND RUN

A New Jersey National Guard soldier was struck during a hit and run accident on Route 55 over the weekend and authorities continue to search for the driver who didn’t stop.  The solder standing on Route 55 near milepost 35 early Saturday morning, around 4 o’clock.  A dark colored pickup truck with square headlamps struck the guardsman and kept on driving.  The victim remained conscious and called his brother for help.  The unidentified victim continues to recover from his injuries.  If you have any information about the accident, call the New Jersey State Police.
