MURPHY’S NEW STATE BUDGET RAISES FUNDS PENSIONS, SCHOOLS; TAXES WEALTHY

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy unveiled a new state budget that totals nearly $41 million and puts more money into public education, and paying down pension debt.  Murphy again called for the wealthy to pay more in taxes to support the budget.  Murphy also wants to increase the tax on cigarettes from $2.70 per pack to a whopping $4.50 per pack.
