MURPHY: DEMOCRATS’ BUDGET PLAN IS DEAD ON ARRIVAL

There appears to be no progress forward on a new state budget.  Governor Murphy told reporters Monday that an alternate budget being presented to him this week by fellow democrats in the New Jersey Legislature is dead on arrival, and he will veto it.  The state has 12 days to adopt a new budget or a government shutdown is likely.
