Governor Phil Murphy is moving towards the elimination of state oversight of Atlantic City. Murphy announced Monday that he would like to end the role played by former Chris Christie designee Jeffrey Chiesa within a month’s time. Christie put the city under state control during his administration due to severe financial hardships.
