MOTOR VEHICLE STOP LEADS TO HEROIN SEIZURE

Lower Township Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Seashore Road on Wednesday. Police say that as they approached the vehicle, they saw several quick movements. The driver, Timothy Demusz voluntarily handed over an empty bag of heroin. Police executed a search warrant on the vehicle and found 21 bags or hits of heroin. The passenger, Mark Schmolze was arrested for possession of heroin, and possession with intent to distribute. Charges are pending against Demusz.
