MOSTQUITO POPULATION EXPECTED TO SPIKE ON HEELS OF RAIN

Expect the bugs to be out in force soon. The mosquito population is expected to be higher than normal this year because of the amount of rain the state received recently. The state received the wettest March on record. The concerns of a high population is an increase in West Nile Virus. Only a few cases were recorded last year, but cooler than usual temperatures kept the population down.
