Lower Township Police confirm that a live mortar shell was found in the township today. Lt. Thomas Keywood said that the shell was found at AABA Family Medical Supply. The Atlantic City Bomb Squad was called to the scene to remove the mortar. They will detonate it at a remote location. The Villas Fire Company and members of the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office helped seal off the scene and create a 300 foot perimeter.
