MONMOUTH UNVERSITY POLLSTER SAYS VAN DREW HAS ADVANTAGE

A prominent New Jersey pollster says that not much should change in the legislature, and that includes the 1st Legislative District. Patrick Murray is in charge of polling at Monmouth University and he says he has been crunching the numbers and based on trends, voter registration, and other factors, he thinks Democrats will maintain their lead in the Assembly and Senate. Murray also said he thinks voters in the 1st District are used to voting for State Senator Jeff Van Drew and his ticket, therefore he thinks that they will have a  edge to retain their seats. He did cite the 2nd District as a tight race, between Democrat incumbent Jim Whelan and Republican Vince Polistina.
