MISS NEW YORK BECOMES THE NEW MISS AMERICA IN AC

The new Miss America is Miss New York, 25 year old Nia Imani Franklin.  Franklin was crowned the new Miss America during the pageant held Sunday evening in Atlantic City.  Franklin has a master’s degree in music composition from the North Carolina School of the Arts.
