MIDDLE TOWNSHIP STUDENTS CRASH ON GARDEN STATE PARKWAY

A single motor vehicle accident occurred just before 9 p.m. Tuesday night on the southbound Garden State Parkway at mile marker 15.5. NJ State Police report that five teenagers from Middle Township High School were travelling in a 2006 Ford Escape. The driver, 17 year-old Brittany Robertson, allegedly lost control of the car, which swerved off the roadway and overturned. Two passengers, Lauren Anderson, 15, of Dennis Township and Dylan Rhile, 17, of Cape May Court House, were flown to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center with head injuries and listed in stable condition. The driver and two other passengers were taken to Cape Regional Medical Center, treated and released. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
