MIDDLE TOWNSHIP SEEKING REGIONAL APPROACH TO BAYSHORE ISSUES

Middle Township government is seeking a regional approach to restore and build resiliency on the Delaware Bayshore. The Administrator Connie Mahon said she believes Middle Township and its surrounding communities have a unique opportunity to partner with environmental groups such as the American Littoral Society and Conserve Wildlife to build suitable habitats for endangered species while protecting our valuable assets and property.

Middle Township, through an application to the Cape May County Open Space Program, is seeking funding for improvements to access to its waterways and enhanced recreational opportunities on its beaches and bays. This initiative seeks to improve quality of life for township residents, while attracting valuable eco-tourism dollars. Approval of this plan would prove the economic benefits of funding these critical beach replenishment projects.
