MIDDLE TOWNSHIP DISPATCHERS TAKE SALARY FREEZE

The Middle Township Committee found some savings through contract negotiations. The dispatchers of the township agreed to take a pay freeze for this year and the two sides agreed to a two percent raise next year. Committeeman Dan Lockwood said that the dispatchers did their job to help the taxpayers of the township out. By agreeing to the contract early, the dispatchers will not have to pay 1.5 percent of their salary towards their health benefits. Township officials are continuing their negotiations with the police union in coming up with a new contract
