MENENDEZ SPEAKS ON OIL SPILL, HOLDING OIL COMPANIES ACCOUNTABLE

Robert MenendezUnited States Senator Robert Menendez has spoken up against the blocking of legislation that aims to hold big oil companies accountable. A bill has been blocked four times by Republicans that has been dubbed the Big Oil Bailout Prevention Act. Menendez says that blocking the legislation is like siding with big oil, over the fishermen and tourism people that make a living off the seas. The legislation would eliminate the $75 million cap on big oil companies for their liability in the event of an oil spill.
