MEASURE TO REQUIRE BLOOD TESTS IN SERIOUS ACCIDENTS TO GET FULL ASSEMBLY VOTE

albanoLegislation will be in front of the full Assembly on Thursday that would require all drivers to be blood tested in a fatal accident, or one that causes serious injury. Bill sponsor Nelson Albano told Coastal Broadcasting that breath tests done hours after an accident make it tough to prove whether someone was under the influence. The new measure would require the test be done within an hour of the accident, according to Albano. Thus providing accurate evidence if the case goes in front of a court.
