A Superior Court Judge sentenced a 41-year-old Atlantic City man to six years in prison on Friday for drug offenses committed in 2010, Atlantic County Prosecutor Ted Housel stated.

In accordance with a plea agreement, Luis A. Figueroa must serve three years before becoming eligible for parole. On April 19, 2011, Figueroa pleaded guilty to possession of drugs with intent to distribute in connection with a March 6, 2010 incident in Hamilton Township. On that same date, Figueroa also pleaded guilty to possession of drugs in a school zone with intent to distribute in connection with an April 26, 2010 incident in Atlantic City, according to Assistant Prosecutor David Ruffenach, who represented the state.
