MAN INDICTED ON IDENTITY THEFT CHARGES

An Atlantic County Grand Jury indicted a Galloway Township man on Thursday on 18 counts for an identity theft in which the defendant obtained credit card information from patrons at his father’s Egg Harbor City liquor store and then purchased items at stores in the county and sold them on Ebay, Atlantic County Prosecutor Ted Housel announced. Yogi P. Joshi, 20, was indicted on third and fourth-degree counts, including forgery, uttering, and theft by deception.

A third-degree crime carries a maximum prison term of five years and a fine of $15,000. A fourth-degree crime carries a maximum prison term of 18 months and a $10,000.
