A man recently convicted for murder assaulted two guards at the Cumberland County Jail. The News of Cumberland County reports that Andrew Pender threw human excrement at the guards just after midnight on Thursday. The report says he can receive up to 15 days of solitary confinement for each count of assault he is found guilty of. He is currently awaiting transfer to a state prison.
