MAN FOUND SCRAPING DIRECTIONAL SIGNALS

Middle Township Police responded to a report of a person scraping metal that appeared like directional signals. Middle Township Police responded to Raff Recycling Corporation and was able to determine the signs were tourist oriented directional signs that were posted on Rt. 47 in the Rio Grande section of Middle Township, which were valued at $3,225.00. An investigation was conducted and it was learned Kendall Aguirre 3rd, 28 years of age from Cape May Court House, was in possession of the signs and scrapped them at Raff’s Recycling Corporation receiving $169.00 in return. Kendall Aguirre admitted to police that he scrapped the signs, but denied taking them from the roadway. Kendall Aguirre was charged with receiving stolen property and was released on a summons.
