MAN DRIVES PICKUP TRUCK OFF ROAD, HITS TREE NEAR CAPE MAY AIRPORT

A 31 year old man was charged with drunk driving and other offenses after he drove his pickup truck off the road and struck a tree near the Cape May Airport in Erma, Lower Township.  Andrew E. Santiago was towing a landscaping trailer behind his truck at the time of the accident; that trailer was found in a wooded area at the scene.  Santiago and a female passenger were both injured.
