MAN CHARGED WITH WITNESS TAMPERING

Members of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office charged an Atlantic City man with third-degree witness tampering, Atlantic County Prosecutor Ted Housel stated.

Kingkamau Nantambu, 34, of Beach Avenue, was arrested at his home last night at approximately 8:45 p.m. by Prosecutor’s Office Detectives with the assistance of the Atlantic City Police Department.

It is alleged that on Aug. 2 2011 Nantambu attempted to induce a witness who was scheduled to be a witness for the State in a gun possession trial to testify falsely.

Nantambu is lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility in lieu of $50,000 full cash bail set by Superior Court Judge Max Baker.

The investigation is continuing.
