MAN CHARGED WITH GUN POSSESSION IN DOMESTIC INCIDENT

A domestic incident lead a man to be arrested in possession of a gun. Lower Township Police say they got a report from a caller that a lot of screaming and yelling was coming from a home on the 100 block of Maryland Ave. Police responded and apprehended a 17-year-old who had run. A .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun with illegal hollow point bullets were recovered. Police say he was trying to hide the weapon for Matthew Bland, of the Villas. Bland had been involved in a heat domestic dispute with a female. Bland was charged with terroristic threats, illegal possession of a weapon. possession of a weapon for an unlawful purposes, and possession of prohibited ammunition. The juvenile was charged with obstruction of justice and hindering apprehension.
