MAN CHARGED WITH ARMED ROBBERY IN WILDWOOD

A man saying he was a Wildwood Police officer showed a gun and tried to make another man hand over a cigarette. The victim reported the incident to police and pointed the man out at the WaWa. Police arrested Jed Barton, of Wildwood, on charges of armed robbery, impersonating a police officer, and weapon possession charges. Bail was set at $50,000 and he was placed in the Cape May County Correctional Center.
