MAN ARRESTED IN ATTEMPTED MURDER FROM JULY

A 19-year-old Pleasantville man who was wanted on three counts of attempted murder in connection with a shooting that took place in July outside of Bally’s Park Place casino was apprehended in Atlantic City Friday, Atlantic County Prosecutor Ted Housel announced.

At approximately 3:45 p.m., authorities arrested Andrew Miller outside a hotel room at the Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City.  Miller was wanted for a shooting that occurred on July 5, 2011, in which he allegedly shot Stanley Lovett, 21, of Bridgeton, in the chest, a 17-year-old Vineland resident in the leg and fired shots at Dashon Lee, 22, of Vineland, who was not struck.

Through cooperation from the public, authorities quickly learned Miller’s identity early in the investigation. Once identified, authorities were able to obtain an arrest warrant and locate Miller.

In addition to attempted murder charges, Miller is charged with three counts of aggravated assault, one count of possession of a weapon and one count of possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. Bail was been set at $1 million cash.
