MAJOR FLOOD INSURANCE BILL GETS SENATE APPROVALS

Frank LoBiondoA bill that would help provide relief to shore homeowners who face much higher flood insurance bills has cleared the United States Senate.  The new bill will scale back some of the immediate hikes in flood insurance rates per the controversial bill that some local experts believe would have devastated shore economies.  Congressman Frank LoBiondo pushed for the changes and called it a common sense approach.  Now the bill heads to the desk of President Barack Obama.
