MAIL-IN BALLOTS COULD DELAY RESULTS IN VERY TIGHT ELECTIONS

If any election is very close and decided by a handful of votes, it could literally take a few days to declare a winner.  New election rules in New Jersey supported by Governor Phil Murphy allow mail-in ballots that are postmarked today to be accepted up until Thursday at 8:00pm.  If a municipal race comes down to a few ballots…it may be until the end of the week before a winner is declared.
