LOWER TOWNSHIP OPPOSED TO MUA — USE OF FUNDS

Lower Township government says that Lower Township MUA officials are using ratepayer money to indirectly funding both the formation of a coalition and a website opposing the proposed merger of the LTMUA with Lower Township. Manager Mike Voll says the township is working towards a final vote to take over the MUA, which could save $1 million. The issue was raised in public comments by Deputy Mayor Norris Clark who questioned whether the LTMUA board accepted responsibility for literature and a website containing misleading and false statements concerning the proposed merger with the township.
