LOWER TOWNSHIP GOVERNMENT WANTS HOMES TO HAVE NUMBERS OUT FRONT

mike vollBuildings without house numbers present a continuing problem for police and fire personnel in Lower Township. When an address cannot be quickly located by public safety providers, response time is slowed, according to Lower Township Manager Mike Voll. He said residents may not realize the danger of having a home or business without visible numbers until there is a medical emergency, a fire, a burglary in progress or other serious crime at their home. Voll said house numbers are inexpensive and available at hardware stores. Numbers are required on all residences and businesses in Lower Township, he said.
