LOWER TOWNSHIP FIREWORKS SHOW MAY HAVE SOME LIFE SAYS DEPUTY MAYOR LARE

The Delaware River and Bay Authority will not be sponsoring July 4th weekend fireworks in Lower Township this year, but they could still be put on. Deputy Mayor Kevin Lare tells Coastal Broadcasting that he believes the township can keep the project going. He estimates they will need about $50,000 for the project. The township spends $25,000 towards the festival, which could be put towards the show and Lare hopes to raise the rest. So far, the response has been good. Lare estimates that he only needs $10,000 more to make the fireworks project a reality. Once money is raised, the project can go out to bid.
