LOWER GIRLS WIN SOUTH JERSEY CHAMPIONSHIP

The Lower Cape May Regional girls basketball team is the South Jersey Group II Champion. The girls beat Sterling 58-55 at home to win the championship. The game went into overtime and the Caper Tigers were able to hold on for the win. Lauren Holden had 35 points to lead the Caper Tigers, including 14 of 18 from the line. The next game will be in the state semifinals in Williamstown against Manasquan for a 7 p.m. start on Thursday.
