LOCAL TOURISM OFFICIALS CONCERNED ABOUT POSSIBLE ACTIONS BY PRESIDENT

Various work travel programs are proposed to be eliminated by President Trump, and that has Morey’s Piers and other local businesses worried about meeting staffing levels in the foreseeable future.  The Wall Street Journal reported that the J-1 SWT visa exchange program may be eliminated by the President, which could drastically reduce the number of foreign workers who hold summer jobs in our region.  Over 2,800 international students were in Cape May County during the last tourism season.
