LOCAL SOLDIERS FINALLY RETURN HOME FROM AFGHANISTAN

The long wait is finally over for some local families. About 25 members of the 253rd Transportation Company of the New Jersey National Guard will finally return to their homes in Cape May County. The soldiers spent one year serving in Afghanistan and have been back in the U.S. since January 3rd. You can expect to meet the returnees on Wednesday afternoon at the Sea Isle City rest area on the Garden State Parkway at 1:45PM. The soldiers will then be escorted to the armory in Crest Haven by local fire companies and veteran’s groups.
