LOCAL GAS STATION NAILED IN PRICE PROBE

A gasoline station located in Rio Grande has been cited by the state for allegedly gouging consumers at the pumps during the Hurricane Irene event last August.  The New Jersey Attorney General’s office announced that three fuel stations have been named in the complaint, including the Citgo Gas Station located at 1402 Route 47 in Rio Grande.  A state investigation showed that all three gasoline stations changed prices more than once in a 24 hour period, which violates state law.
