LOCAL DISTRICTS GET FEDERAL DOLLARS FOR PRESCHOOLERS

N.J. school district officials have been notified about their share of a $70 million grant program from the federal government to expand preschool programs. Middle Township was named as one of 19 districts in the state to receive the Preschool Development Grant. School officials in Middle Twp. said the district will get about $215,000 from the grant, while Galloway Township gets more than $1 million. Other South Jersey districts receiving grant money are are Absecon, Atlantic City, Egg Harbor City, Hamilton Township, and Upper Deerfield Township.
