LEWIS THROUGH PRIMARY, AWAITS LEGAL DECISION

Questions about whether Carl Lewis should be allowed on the ballot didn’t keep him from advancing through the primary. Lewis was unopposed running as a Democrat and would face State Sen. Dawn Marie Addiego in the general election. Republicans questioned his residency, stating he owned a home and voted in California, despite claiming New Jersey as his main residency. A judge said he could stay on the ballot, but the issue remains in court.
