LEGISLATION TO BE PROPOSED TO PENALIZE TOWNS THAT DON'T SHARE SERVICES

A new bill is being worked on that would eliminate state funding to towns that do not share services with surrounding municipalities. Senate President Steve Sweeney is crafting the legislation. Sweeney has discussed the bill over the past couple of weeks, saying publicly that sharing services is the easiest way to find tax relief for towns.
