LEGISLATION PULLED FROM VOTE THAT COULD HAVE SAVED VINELAND DEVELOPMENT CENTER

A bill that was attempting to save the Vineland Developmental Center was not moved forward on Thursday. The legislation was supposed to get consideration inside of the Health, Human Services, and Senior Citizens committee on the senate side. The measure would allow the legislature the chance to sign off on any developmental center closing that has over 100 full-time workers. State Senator Jeff Van Drew is a sponsor on the bill.
