LAWSUIT! ASSEMBLYMAN SUES SOUTH JERSEY POLICE DEPARTMENT

A former television reporter who currently serves in the New Jersey Assembly is suing the Washington Township Police Department.  Paul Moriarty is suing the department over a drunk driving arrest in 2012.  As it turns out, Moriarty was not drunk at the time of his arrest.  His lawsuit alleges the police department knew of past bad behavior of the cop who pulled him over during the traffic stop.  Unspecified damages are requested.
